-What is a Breakeven Indicator?

The Breakeven indicator displays the price at which closing the open position will result in neither profit nor loss.

• How is BE calculated?

The Breakeven price calculation considers the trading fee you paid to open the position and will also factor in the taker (market close) fee rate of your account for the trading pair when closing the position. For example, if you buy 1 BTC for 50,000 USDT at market price and pay a fee of 0.1%, you actually pay 50,050 USDT to own 1 BTC. Your breakeven price will neither be 50,000 USDT nor 50,050 USDT, but 50,100.1 USDT.

Here's a brief explanation of how Break Even (BE) is calculated.

Let’s say you trade BTC-USDT Market Buy Price: 50,000 USDT Order Quantity: 1 BTC Paid Amount: Price * Quantity = 50,000 USDT Fee rate: 0.1% Fee Paid: Paid Amount * Fee rate = 50,000 * 0.1 / 100 = 50 USDT Total amount paid to buy 1 BTC = 50,050 USDT

For breakeven, you must sell this 1 BTC at a price so that you receive 50,050 USDT after the fee is deducted for the sell trade.

Amount received without fee = BE Price * 1 = BE Price Fee deducted = Amount received without fee * Fee rate = BE Price * 0.1% = 0.001 * BE Price Amount received after fee = BE Price - 0.001 * BE Price = 0.999 * BE Price

50,050 = 0.999 * BE Price BE Price = 50,100.1 USDT

Difference = 50,100.1 - 50,000 = 100.1 USDT Percent value from buy price = 100.1 * 100 / 50,000 = 0.2%
